  • Elder Law: We can answer questions about gift tax issues and nursing home eligibility. Additionally, we can assess your situation and structure your documents to minimize estate taxes.
  • Probate: We work with personal representatives and families to assist with estate administration, court filings, inventories and accountings.
  • Business Entities: We can assist in the formation of corporations, limited liability companies (LLCs) and limited liability partnerships (LLPs), as well as perform routine and special filings that pertain to such entities.

  • Farm & Ranch Issues: We work on water and mineral rights, easements, and boundary disputes.
Attorney Profile:

Ronald W. Rutz has been practicing law for over thirty years. Born in Greeley, Colorado, and raised on a farm north of Windsor, Mr. Rutz attended Colorado State University as an undergrad, majoring in business. He then ventured to New York University to obtain his J.D. and has been practicing law ever since. His travels took him to Alabama and Hawaii, and finally led him full circle when he established himself in Fort Collins in 1976 to remain loyal to the local farming community. Attorney Rutz is licensed in both Colorado and Hawaii and has taught collegiate courses at the University of Alabama Law School, Colorado State University, and Aimes Community College. Additionally, he has gained quite a following writing columns for the Senior Voice and Fort Collins Coloradoan (see our Archives for articles) on many topics including: estate and tax planning, farm and ranch issues, water law, business matters, gold prospecting, and everything in between.
